I made this version of the Irish Hiking Scarf for a friend’s mother. I used Baby Alpaca Grande, which I love, in #567 using #11 needles since it’s bulky weight. I made only two cables instead of three, otherwise it would have been a shawl instead of a scarf! This color, by the way, is fairly hard to get at this point. I guess it’s a new color. I get my Baby Alpaca Grande from Discount Yarn Center on eBay. She has a nice selection at a good price.

I love your 2 cable hiking scarf.Smart to use only 2 cables, bulky yarn and get it finished. it looks great.
I cast on for the three cables and said, “Hmmm. I like wide scarves, but…”
