Lawrence’s Christmas present

Although I’m sure this confirms that I have lost my mind since giving birth, I’ve decided to knit the Nicky Epstein bear rug for Lawrence for Christmas.

I showed George the picture of the rug in KnitSimple magazine, where it was shown in your choice of pale blue or pink (I’m probably going to do it in Lion Jiffy in Camel and Lion Fun Fur in Champagne).

“Wow,” he said. “Can you finish it in time?”
“Of course,” I replied confidently. “It’s on big needles.”

I have a feeling I’ll be revisiting that statement in my mind many times between now and Christmas Eve.
