I just wanted to share a great step by step guide to knitting socks that I found: Socks 101 Even with multiple knitting books and magazines, I still didn’t understand decreasing the gusset, and this demo cleared it up in a snap.

I’m discovering that felted bowls are great for using up novelty yarn that you bought because you loved it, but never found a practical use for. This one is one strand of Knitpicks Sierra in Wild Rose, knit together in two places with two strands of a fuzzy boucle JoAnn Sensations yarn that I think [...]

I’m working on a pattern for a felted bowl, which I plan to post here when it’s done.

Huh. How did that happen? I know I measured them as I went along.
Oh. I may have [...]

Right now my two main projects are for myself. I’m trying to have at least two more sweaters for rainy season.
I’m making the Hip Hop coat by Ann Budd from the Interweave Knits Winter 2005 issue, using Joann’s Sensations Thick ‘N Think yarn in pink/lemon:
and Rebecca Rosen’s Fur Trimmed Hoodie from Knit.1 magazine, using Lion [...]

You can’t do it. That’s what I’ve decided. I started knitting a cardigan for Lawrence a few months ago in denim yarn. He’s almost 4, but he’s tall, so I aimed for size 6-8. I finished the back and started one side and realized it’s going to be too short before I even finish it. [...]
